Scope

Antonine Housing Association were recently successful in their cashback funding bid for social housing providers, awarded by the Scottish Government.  A.C. Whyte was appointed as Main Contractor in the refurbishment of 48 flats, comprising a mix of social and private housing. The solid wall properties were tired and in need of rejuvination, the main focus of the project was to improve the energy efficiency by installing external wall insulation to the resident’s homes. The client was also keen to achieve an impactful visual appearance with a modern contemporary finish, they used the opportunity to install an IRS system, removing the need for individual satellite dishes on each property. The completed works have vastly improved the overall appearance of the blocks whilst improving the energy efficiency, this has resulted in a reduction in fuel bills for the residents.

The commitment and dedication of the management team has really shone through, they have been professional and very reassuring to our organisation particularly as this was our first major EWI contract. The employees on site were exceptional, they worked extremely hard and were committed to delivering this contract on time, due to the very tight funding deadlines. A great job guys, well done.
