A.C. Whyte were appointed as Main Contractor by the Care Concern Group for the major refurbishment and external wall insulation works for Ashlea Care Home, which remained occupied throughout the works. The works required internal access which contained vulnerable residents, careful planning was key to ensuring the health and safety of our team and residents was paramount. There was also a courtyard in the middle of the works which required access at all times, therefore we segregated section of the care home to use as an entry/egress system to the courtyard, this required careful planning with regards to scaffold design to ensure access was readily available for the continuous flow of materials and for residents to walk through.
