Scope
Working with Falkirk Council, A.C. Whyte & Co. Ltd was appointed as Main Contractor for the major refurbishment of 25 closes of flats, 5 four in a blocks and 19 houses in Camelon, Falkirk. Having worked with Falkirk Council for many years, our project team are familiar with their specifications and fully understand their systems and processes. As a result, the works were delivered on time and to budget requirements. The completed works have vastly improved the overall appearance of the properties and the surrounding areas.

The works:
- Masonry repairs, structural repairs, concrete works and repairs to all forms of the building
- Bekaert (Stucanet) Dry dash and smooth render system applied
- Downtaking and removals of all forms of existing flat and pitched roof coverings as well as chimneys
- Replacement of new tiling, slating roofing materials and liquid applied roofing
- Gas safety checks carried out before and after the works to ensure it remains fully operational and safe
- Removal and replacement of all gutters and downpipes
- Asbestos was identified and sampling analysis was carried out in line with asbestos survey report and removed by an approved licensed subcontractor
- Structural engineers report
- Extensive landscaping works were carried out in the communal garden areas, to minimise future maintenance by Falkirk Council such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, new paths, replacement of stones etc
- IRS System designed/installed to negate the necessity of installing satellite dishes to the new rendered finish
