Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor – Full Time 

The ideal candidates will be looking for a long-term opportunity and have a proven track record in the Quantity Surveying field, with experience of working with main contractors or subcontractors. Although it would be ideal to have had exposure to external refurbishment works, it is not essential provided you are an experienced QS.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will focus on maintaining the professional development and progression of the surveying department including mentoring trainee surveyors, whilst monitoring commercial and contractual activities.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Commercially responsible for multiple projects making sure that you are maximising value for money whilst delivering a high level of service
  • Selection and appointment of sub-contractors, checking, verifying and processing payments
  • Preparation of monthly valuations
  • Preparation of monthly internal cost analysis and reports
  • Administration of any contractual matters
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and propose an appropriate course of action
  • Preparation and agreement of final account submissions
  • Preparation of Building Warrant applications (no previous experience necessary)

Skills and experience:

  • Be a confident individual who can converse with people at all levels including Directors and be a key team player
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Previous training/mentoring experience advantageous
  • IT literate with good skills and knowledge of key software systems
  • Experience within the construction industry or related industry
  • Familiarity with all operational areas of the business including estimating, procurement, design, QS and construction
  • Good working knowledge of building contracts and the ability to assess areas of commercial risk
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental legislation

Receptionist/Office Administrator – Maternity Cover – POSITION CLOSED

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised Receptionist/Administrator to cover maternity, you will provide support to our Office Manager and Managing Director.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors
  • Dealing with all internal and external calls and visitors
  • Handling enquiries and passing them on to the appropriate department
  • Assisting with purchase ledger accounts and payroll
  • General administrative duties
  • Assisting the Office Manager and Managing Director

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Accounts and Payroll in the Construction Industry are preferable but not essential
  • Good level of proficiency using MS Office
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Previous reception and administrative experience preferable but not essential
  • Confident telephone manner

ECO Administrator – Full Time – POSITION CLOSED 

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, focussed, individual with impeccable attention to detail, who is keen to grow in a role that can evolve.  You will manage the ECO admin process and compliance, liaising with all associated departments, ensuring we meet rigorous deadlines.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Map all paperwork requirements and deadlines across ECO process
  • Develop timing plans and content requirements for each project
  • Liaise with Surveying Department, Customer Liaison and Site Managers to agree requirements and timings
  • Track all requirements, following up on outstanding items
  • Regularly review status of requirements and flag any risks or delays
  • Collate, check and upload ECO paperwork – in line with required timings

Skills and experience:

  • An ability to manage a high volume of data with accuracy and efficiency
  • Good level of proficiency using MS Office
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • No previous experience of ECO required
  • Confident liaising with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
