The Ecology Building Society developed the C-Change mortgage discount in response to the impact of modern living on domestic energy demands and the environment, with households across Britain accounting for over 27% of the UK’s total carbon emissions.
There are a number of mortgage plans and C-Change discounts available such as C-Change energy improvements, which gives a 1% discount off the standard variable rate, on funds borrowed to install energy efficiency solutions or renewable energy systems**.
Examples of energy efficiency solutions that qualify for the discount include:
