The A.C. Whyte team attended the Glasgow Business Awards Ceremony and dinner hosted at the Glasgow Hilton and proudly accepted the award for the second year in a row.
The awards celebrate innovation, dedication and success throughout the Glasgow business community and brought together over 700 guests making the black tie ceremony the biggest in the awards’s 17 year history.

The award, which was presented by the evenings host Scottish Comedian Fred McAuley, was accepted by father and daughter team Bob and Jennifer Phin. On presenting the award Fred commented that the business was a successful, third generation family business and quipped “Although it looks to soon be fourth generation”. Jennifer, who is Commercial Manager at A.C. Whyte is expecting her first baby in early November. Jennifer commented: “The team at A.C. Whyte are delighted to have won Family Business of the Year. 2014 was the year that saw Glasgow successfully host the Commonwealth Games, Scotland voted in the referendum and hosted The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. It is also the year A.C. Whyte celebrated their 40thAnniversary. The company’s success is attributed to several keys things, the first of which is a dedication to evolving and adapting to market changes; the second is a loyal, experienced workforce and finally, although arguably the most important is the family values that are intrinsic throughout the whole organisation.
