A.C. Whyte are delighted to be shortlisted as finalists for 3 categories at the Glasgow Business Awards in Family Business, Best Performing Business (51 employees or more) and Young Business Person of the Year 2018.
All three nominations are testament to our intrinsic family values and our commitment to providing an exceptional customer service whilst sustaining growth. The Family Business of the Year category celebrates and recognises the achievements of established family owned businesses that have successfully blended strong business acumen and family engagement. Nominess are judged on distinctive business practices which have helped the business prosper and grow alongside the family commitment to smooth succession planning.
Our Managing Director Jennifer Phin has been nominated for Young Business Person of the Year 2018. This award recognises an individual who has established successful career progression and is able to clearly demonstrate business expertise with leadership and management. Jennifer has fully embraced her role within A.C. Whyte and has respectfully and inspirationally led the A.C. Whyte team to grow and sustain the business.
The Best Performing Business (101 employees or more) award is for organisations who have successfully grown their organisation, have strong leadership skills and clearly defined strategic objectives which have shaped their growth and development. Nominees demonstrate an approach to business based on encouraging employee development, creativity and empowerment as well as a strong, proactive relationship with their clients and suppliers. Judges were also looking for nominees to have presented a strong performance record, explaining how their business differentiates themselves from their competition.
The winners will be announced at the glittering Glasgow Business Awards Ceremony on Thursday 4th October 2018 at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel.
