As the world slowly emerges and begins to assess the impact of COVID-19, vast investment and national and international decarbonisations targets have placed the energy efficiency and construction sector at the heart of economic recovery. With a measured, but ambitious growth plan in place, A.C. Whyte are set to build on our solid foundations and maximise these opportunities, and have made three key appointments that will support the delivery of our plans.
John Gallacher joined the A.C. Whyte team in 2011 and has been a key member of our construction team, bringing extensive experience within the construction and commercial property sectors. Already immensely qualified, John is a recent graduate from the University of Strathclyde, he holds an MSc in Safety and Risk Management and specialises in corporate risk as well as managing large scale operations and projects. John has secured A.C. Whyte’s impeccable H&S record ensuring our collective safety, now more than ever during the pandemic. He will gradually transition to his new role of Operations Director as we recruit for his current H&S role. His appointment to this position is a reflection of his vast knowledge and depth of commitment to ensuring A.C. Whyte’s respected position in the market and he will have responsibility for the successful operational delivery of our strategic growth.
We welcome Stephen Nugent as Business Development Director, he brings more than 35-years’ experience to the role. His successful career has spanned public and private sector, holding Management and Leadership roles in Glasgow City Council, North Glasgow Housing Association, Keepmoat and latterly Engie. He is recognised and well respected in Housing, Regeneration, Construction and Local Government sectors and this is reflected in his consistent and proven track record. As Business Development Director, Stephen will be responsible for the strategic design and continuous development of the business development function at A.C. Whyte.
