We are delighted to officially announce that A.C. Whyte & Co. Ltd have been selected in the Family Business of the Year category for the 2013 Scottish Business Awards. The company was nominated in 2012 for a Customer Focus Award and it has just been announced that they have been shortlisted again this year.
Managing Director, Robert Phin, said “We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious awards ceremony for the second year in a row. Although the entry focused on the family involvement, it really is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire workforce.”
The event this year will be the biggest business event in Scottish history, with 1400 leading business figures, representing over £50billion of turnover, coming together for the evening. This also makes it by far the biggest business event in the UK this year. President Bill Clinton will be delivering the key note speech, and also confirmed to attend are First Minister Alex Salmond, Scottish Secretary Michael Moore MP, John Swinney MSP, legendary Scottish racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart and Sir Tom Hunter.
The awards celebrate excellence in Scottish business and recognise the people and companies that are changing the face of Scotland with the goods, services and innovations that they provide. The Scottish business community will come together to celebrate the achievements that have gone before, raise a considerable sum for charity and lead the drive to improve our economy and impact social change.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony being held at the EICC on Friday 21st June.
