Health and safety and the wellbeing of our team and the residents of the communities within which we work is central to everything we do. A.C. Whyte have a fully trained, NEBOSH qualified, in-house Health & Safety Manager who is dedicated to ensuring all our projects are delivered safely and effectively. He will carry out site safety inspections on a regular basis ensuring all our sites operate with health and safety as their priority. Prior to the commencement of any project, a project specific Construction Phase Plan will be developed as required under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The plan will highlight all hazards associated with the project and advise on control measures to reduce the associated risks, incorporating risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessment.
Ryan also works closely with CITB and other training partners and oversees all the training and development needs of the company, ensuring every member of the A.C. Whyte team has the necessary skills, training and qualifications to competently meet the needs of our clients first time every time.
Health & Safety training and achievements
Our central support team are fully trained in the statutory duties for Principal Contractors and Principal Designers under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the design and development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Our Site Managers have achieved NVQ L4 in Construction Site Management and Civil Engineering, Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS). They are trained and competent to discharge their respective duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Our directly employed operatives have achieved NVQ L2 for both External Wall Insulation Boarding and External Wall Finishing which is core to our business.
A.C. Whyte is an accredited member of The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
