At AC Whyte, we believe that supporting mental health starts with culture, conversation and the everyday actions people take to look out for one another.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we are encouraging colleagues across our sites and offices to focus on simple, practical actions that can make a meaningful difference – checking in with teammates, speaking up early, taking proper breaks and supporting one another when things feel difficult.

We know that our industry can be demanding for everyone, whether it’s working on site, travelling between projects or based in the office.

That’s why creating an open, supportive culture matters.

For AC Whyte, Mental Health Awareness Week is not simply about raising awareness – it’s about reinforcing the importance of early conversations, honest communication and ensuring people feel comfortable reaching out for support when they need it.

This year’s campaign centres around a simple message:

This Week, Take One Action.

Small actions and early support can often have the biggest impact.

As part of this, AC Whyte continues to support the Lighthouse Charity, which provides confidential and independent emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support for construction workers and their families.

Alongside external support services, colleagues are encouraged to speak openly with line managers, trusted team members or the wider business whenever support is needed.

At AC Whyte, we recognise that a strong team starts with an open and honest culture – one where people feel respected, supported and able to look out for one another every day.
