A.C. Whyte went into lockdown with a healthy order book and have immerged to the news of a contract win with Glasgow City Council. A.C. Whyte successfully tendered for the 20/21 HEEPS:ABS work, winning one of two lots to deliver External Wall Insulation to over 100 properties in the Mansewood and Hillpark area of Glasgow, many hopefully before the winter.
Considering the COVID-19 crisis, both A.C. Whyte and Glasgow City Council are in discussions to map out the future of the project. As their sites gradually mobilise, A.C. Whyte are able to demonstrate to Glasgow City Council the reality of operating under the new restrictions and how it can successfully be achieved. The progress A.C. Whyte have made to mobilise their sites has been positive and is feeding into delivery plans for Glasgow City Council. Jennifer Phin, Managing Director of A.C. Whyte said:
Businesses across the country have been impacted to a varying degree during the recent climate, so the contract win with Glasgow City Council comes at a very important time for A.C. Whyte and one that we are very much looking forward to progressing.
Working in partnership with the team at Glasgow City Council will be critical to getting the project off the ground as we commence a new way of working on-site. We hope to take Glasgow City Council on the journey with us as we mobilise more sites whilst ensuring our work is delivered to an impeccable standard.
Social distancing is playing a significant part in defining the ‘new normal’ and with planning, consideration and a creative approach, the crisis is presenting organisations with opportunities to further evolve and innovate. A.C. Whyte have been working with a variety of parties and have designed a digitally focused customer journey. One that protects the personal touch they are renowned for, but ensures the safety of their workforce, residents, and the wider community.
